Dr. Karen Littlefield Neil

If you’re searching for a qualified and trusted dentist near Benbrook, you won’t find anyone else with the kind of experience, compassion, and commitment as Dr. Neil. With a unique approach to dentistry, she cares deeply about helping patients out of pain while working to rebuild their smiles for brighter futures.

But before she became the stellar dentist she is today, she started her journey to dentistry working in an orthodontic office while in high school. Sparking her interest in the field, she used this experience in addition to the fond memories of her own dentist to pursue a career in oral healthcare.

After attending the University of Texas at Arlington, she went on to receive her dental doctorate at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Returning to Fort Worth after spending some time working in San Antonio, she accepted the position of associate dentist, taking care of patients. In 1993, she opened her own practice, and the rest is history.

Her love of learning has not stopped over the years, and she has continued to pursue various courses and training to expand her skill set. Dr. Neil is a Fellow in the International Academy of Implant Dentistry and has attended the Pankey Institute. She has also participated in several SPEAR workshops and study clubs, and she is the president-elect of the Fort Worth District Dental Society. Dr. Neil is also a member of the House of Delegates for the Texas Dental Association.

When she isn’t rebuilding smiles, she and her husband, Buck, of 25+ years love spending time with their son, Will, as well as their daughter, Julie. You’ll often find her fishing, playing golf, spending time outdoors, attending concerts, visiting museums, and embracing her love of history.

FAQs

How Do I Find A Female Dentist?

Some patients near Benbrook prefer female dentists for their caring touch and gentler communication style. If you’re looking for someone to help take care of your teeth and are looking for a provider of a specific gender, it’s thankfully not hard to find! More than 50% of all current dental school students and about 1/3 of practicing dentists are women.

A simple internet search can give you a list of results that you can filter based on several different criteria, like how close they are to your location. At Fort Worth Dentistry, Dr. Karen Neil offers a full range of services to meet all your family’s needs under one roof and has 30+ years of experience, so you can trust that you’re in skilled hands.

How Much Does a Dental Checkup & Cleaning Cost in Fort Worth?

The American Dental Association recommends that you visit your dentist near Benbrook every six months for a routine appointment so they can catch and treat problem areas before they progress. Despite this, nearly half of American citizens haven’t seen their dentist in the past 12 months.

If it’s been a while since you’ve had your teeth examined or cleaned, you might worry that you can’t afford the current pricing. Typically, you can expect to pay anywhere from $175 to $200 for a standard visit, though it can vary depending on the provider and what’s included. For example, you might accrue additional costs for X-rays or fluoride treatments to strengthen your enamel.

What is the Best Way to Find a Dentist Who Offers Sedation?

If you’re overly anxious when it comes to the dentist, you’re not alone! Fortunately, many providers near Benbrook offer options for sedation to help you remain comfortable and calm, regardless of the reason for your visit.

For instance, Dr. Neil can administer nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, to reduce your body’s responses to external stimuli and induce a sense of ease or euphoria. You might even feel drowsy or get a bad case of the giggle, but you’ll remain conscious enough to respond to our team’s questions or instructions. This is ideal for patients who are overly afraid, struggle to sit still, have a strong gag reflex, or must undergo multiple or longer procedures.

What Do You Do If You Can’t Afford a Dentist?

Dental insurance plans are intended to promote proper preventative care, and often cover up to 100% of the cost of routine appointments. Then, they often cover anywhere from 50% to 80% of other necessary services.

However, our team recognizes that not everyone carries a policy, and we don’t want your budget to keep you from potentially smile-saving care. We offer other options to help you afford your procedures, including:

  • Flexible financing. We’ve partnered with CareCredit so you can break up your total invoice into more manageable installments over a designated period, if your application is approved.
  • In-house memberships. We offer different tiers at varying price points, so you can find one that works for your wallet. For a low monthly or annual fee, you gain access to basic preventative care and an additional 10% discount on other services performed onsite.
